Words Worth Repeating’s

“Is There A Book for That?” Blog

Whether your exhausted, overwhelmed, or just too busy to filter through it all, it can be hard to find good resources.

So, I’m doing it for you.

Laura Camerona, children’s author, child life specialist, and founder of Words Worth Repeating, recommends resources that can help families with hospital stays, medical experiences, injuries/illness, grief/loss, and more. Most posts focus on children’s books because the simple supportive words that a children’s book offers can be exactly what families need, opening the door for all sorts of future conversations. On occasion, there are are a few other recommendations for other items that could be helpful to families navigating hospitalization, illness, and loss.

While you are welcome to scroll through the entire blog, many find it helpful to use the search bar to find what you are looking for. Remember to search for the specific and general topics. For example, if your child is having their tonsils removed, search tonsils, but also search surgery, separation (if they will be stressed being separated form you), and inpatient or hospital stay(if they will be spending the night at the hospital).
